This is where the title of the movie comes from you can't have memories of nobody. Ret-Gone: Since Senna was technically never real in the first place, once she fades away so too will memory of her.Ret-Canon: For 10 years this film was considered non-canon to the manga until Ichigo references that he’s been to the Valley of Screams in final arc of the manga, something that only happens in this movie, thus canonizing it and the events take place in it.Quirky Miniboss Squad: The Dark Ones serve as this in the climax of the film to give a fight for the Gotei 13.But Ichigo assures her that, regardless of how she was created, she's still her own person. When she ultimately finds out what she really is, she isn't happy. Paradox Person: Due to being a mash up of lost souls within her, Senna keeps experiencing different memories which she thinks are her own.Lost souls who couldn't find their way to Soul Society or Hueco Mundo and just ended up as formless masses. She's the key the Dark Ones need to execute their plans to crash the living and the spirit world together. Let Them Die Happy: In her final moments of existence, Senna requests that Ichigo take her to the graveyard and to a certain tombstone which she's certain is her own.Heroic Sacrifice: Senna in the end sacrifices herself to save both the living and spirit worlds from being destroyed.Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Ichigo and the Gotei 13 save Senna and everything looks to be wrapped up.until it's revealed they were too late to stop the realms from heading on a collision course with each other.Demoted to Extra: Orihime, Uryu, and Chad only show up briefly in a few scenes with Orihime healing Ichigo being the only thing any of them contribute to the plot. The Cameo: The people who Senna steals the attention away from during the market scene are actually an comedy troupe called the Yasuda Dai Circus who provided their own voices in the Japanese version.Broad Strokes: When Valley of Screams appears in the manga, it functions roughly on the same principles but with some differences such as there being more than one. While he isn't supposed to remember her due to her memory being erased along with her existence, he gives out a knowing smile. But a girl who looks oddly similar to her passes by Ichigo in the end. She seemingly fades away after using up all her power. Bittersweet Ending: Ichigo and the Gotei 13 manage to save Senna and defeat the Dark Ones, but the ritual to crash the living and spirit worlds commences and Senna has to sacrifice herself to save both realms. The later novel, "Can't fear your own world", released after the manga finished fleshed out Ganryu and the Dark Ones, who they are and why they have such a grudge against Soul Society.
